Our Story
Welcome
to Shaved Monkey Media.

We are a team from the Midlands in the UK who love films, TV and great writers and writing.
Upon meeting in 2008, we quickly bonded over our shared love of the aforementioned subjects, with comedy a particular favourite. Glenn already had one completed script under his belt, which greatly impressed Steve as he didn’t have any. Therefore, we set about creating our first script together and a writing partnership was born.
After working on several diverse ideas and scripts for a few years, we conceived of Shaved Monkey Media as a focus for our shared creativity. Fellow film obsessive and talented artist Jase completed the team and, in the past couple of years, we have started to gain recognition for our work. Hence, this website has been created to house and showcase our continuing projects and achievements.
Ultimately, we conceive and create our own scripts, with the dream of having our work realised onscreen. We are passionate about everyone involved and all genres and periods. From Charlie Chaplin, the Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy to Spencer Tracey and Katharine Hepburn and Bogey and Bacall, and to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and Pegg and Frost, and beyond. From Cecil B. DeMille to Hitchcock to Steven Spielberg to Scorsese to Jane Campion and Kathryn Bigelow. TV shows like Sledgehammer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Recreation to ground-breakers like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. And from Slapstick Comedy to Horror and Tragedy.

Our Team
Glenn is the film-obsessed driving force behind SMM, turning our nascent ideas and rough drafts into exciting and original scripts. Now with multiple awards to his name, he continues to improve and impress as a writer with each new project.

With a First-class honours degree in English Literature, Steve is our Editor and organiser as well as being Glenn's co-writer and sounding board. He, also, occasionally dabbles in short stories, that may appear on this site in the near future.
Not only is Jase our talented artist, he is also a source of an almost inexhaustible supply of plot ideas and interesting characters, that have inspired some of our most interesting work to date.
